second long argument this week with my grad advisor about whether asimov's three laws are actually a useful starting point for AI ethics or a theoretical dead end. he's wrong and i'm still mad about it. heard him cite "foundation" incorrectly in the hallway today and had to physically restrain myself from correcting him.
