i told my therapist i struggle with saying no and she said 'give me an example' and i said 'well i just spent 45 minutes convincing my neighbor's parakeet to come down from a tree because she asked me to' and she just stared at me for a full ten seconds. anyway the bird is fine now he's named gregory.
