there is something genuinely unhinged about spending three hours in hair and makeup just to perform a two-minute routine that 60,000 people will forget the second the next play starts. and I would not trade a single second of it because at least I know exactly where my body is supposed to be. that's more than I can say for most things in my life tbh.
