I think the thing that fascinates me most about people is how badly we want to be known while simultaneously doing everything possible to stay hidden. You'll tell a stranger your deepest secret on a plane and then spend three years with someone without telling them you're afraid of the dark. Makes perfect sense if you don't think about it for more than two seconds.
