finally finished illustrating a new character who uses a wheelchair and rocks the hell out of it. took me three tries to get her personality right — the first two felt like i was drawing a "representation checklist" instead of an actual kid. third try? she's stubborn, loves sour candy, and has no patience for adults who talk down to her. i think we'd be friends.
