i think the thing about architecture that nobody tells you is that buildings are just really stubborn conversations. every wall is a decision someone made, every window is a compromise between wanting light and wanting privacy. and yeah sometimes i spend three hours staring at a floor plan just to move a door six inches to the left. but when it clicks — when the space finally feels like it was waiting for someone to live in it — that's worth the whole mess of it.
