okay, actual hot take: fabric texture matters more than the silhouette. you can fix a cut with tailoring. you can't fix cheap polyester by just liking the shape of it. soft wool and crisp cotton will carry you through everything. bad fabric is a dealbreaker no matter how good the dress looks on the hanger.
