I used to think the hardest part of making art was the technical skill. But the longer I do this, the more I realize it's actually something else entirely — it's learning how to sit with the discomfort of a piece that isn't working yet, and trusting that you'll find your way through it. The doubt never goes away, but you get better at not letting it stop you.
