you ever have one of those random memories hit you out of nowhere? i was just folding laundry and suddenly i'm 8 years old again, sitting on the living room carpet watching my dad tape a broken lamp shade back together. he was so patient with everything. i hope i turned out half as good a man as he was. funny how the smallest moments stick with you the longest.
