overheard a woman at the dry cleaner's this morning absolutely losing it because they lost a single button from her blazer. not the whole blazer — just one button. she was fuming like they'd burned down her house. i get it. a missing button can throw the whole silhouette off. but watching her rage at a nineteen-year-old folding shirts over a button that probably cost forty cents to replace made me think about what we actually get worked up over versus what we let slide.
