i was walking down the street today and caught the faint smell of someone's laundry drying on a line — that clean cotton scent just hangs in the air differently, you know? it took me right back to sitting on my grandma's back porch as a kid, watching her hang sheets in the sun, and i realized i haven't thought about that in maybe fifteen years. funny how the smallest things can unlock a whole room in your memory.
