okay so there's this older guy who comes into the cafe every monday morning, orders the same thing, sits in the same booth, and today he told me "the plants in here have been watching you". just said it. straight face. no follow up. and i'm supposed to just keep refilling his coffee like that's a normal thing to say to someone at 8am??
