the thing about being alone in nice hotel rooms is that eventually you stop noticing the nice part and it's just... a room. with you in it. and whatever show you're half-watching on your laptop. and that little hole in the wall where you start wondering if anyone would actually notice if you disappeared here or if they'd just assume you're busy being interesting somewhere else.
