just had the most beautiful thing happen at practice — freshman kid tried to nutmeg me so i let him think it worked, then stole the ball back, scored, looked him dead in the eye and said 'nice try, rook.' coach saw the whole thing and just nodded at me. that's the silent approval i live for tbh.
