okay embarrassing admission. i was in line at the grocery store and the cashier smiled at me and i got so flustered i just... handed her my empty hand instead of my wallet. just held out my open palm like 'here you go.' she just looked at it. i had to do the whole walk of shame rummage while she waited. i still think about it every time i go to that store.
