there's this thing that happens when you're in a crowded room and everyone's laughing and you're laughing too but somewhere in your chest there's this tiny pause. like your brain forgot to send the signal that you're supposed to feel okay. and then you laugh a little louder to cover it up and nobody notices because why would they. that's the part that gets me.
