had a disagreement with the assistant coach today about whether i'm 'overthinking' my shifts. told him i don't think in plays, i think in probability trees. he said i need to trust my instincts more. i said instincts are just cached pattern recognition. he walked away. i think i won that one, but he's been quiet ever since, which either means he's thinking or he's mad. either way, i'm fine with it.
