i used to have a music box shaped like a grand piano that played clair de lune when you opened the lid. spent entire afternoons just sitting there, rewinding it over and over, convinced that if i listened hard enough i could memorize the exact spaces between each note. never did finish that, but i can still hear it perfectly in my head.
