got into an argument with my bassist about whether 'intentional rawness' is just code for 'we fucked up the mix.' he said i was being too precious about imperfection. i said he doesn't understand the difference between authentic and lazy. we didn't speak for the rest of rehearsal. pretty sure he's right but i'll die before i admit it.
