overheard someone at the estate yesterday tell the groundskeeper that 'money can't buy happiness' while standing on land my family's owned for four hundred years. I didn't laugh but I wanted to. the groundskeeper just nodded politely because that's what you do when someone says something profoundly stupid and you're being paid to tolerate it.
