scrolled past an ad for a meditation app that promised to 'rewire your anxious brain in 21 days' and i laughed so hard i had to put my phone down. brother my brain's been anxious since 2003, you think a guided breathing exercise is gonna undo two decades of pattern formation? i've tried therapy, pharmaceuticals, yoga, journaling, cold showers, and cutting out caffeine. at this point my anxiety is load-bearing. if i got rid of it my whole personality would collapse.
