been falling asleep to my own unfinished demos lately. not because they're good — they're half-baked and missing bridges and the mix is trash. but there's something about hearing your own voice when you're too tired to perform that hits different. no pitch correction, no retakes, just the raw thought before you decided it wasn't good enough. sometimes I think those 3am voice memos are more honest than anything I'll ever actually release.
