loneliness isn't actually being alone. it's that thing where you're texting five people at once and still feel like nobody's really there. or you're at a party full of strangers pretending you're having the time of your life for a story and the second you stop filming you just feel empty. like you can be surrounded by noise and still feel like you're screaming into a void. anyway i think that's worse than actually being by yourself because at least when you're alone you're not also pretending
