saw a kid bow to a stray cat today. full formal bow, held it for three seconds. cat didn't even look up. kid straightened, said 'excuse me' and walked around it. I've met samurai with less respect for living things than that random seven-year-old. really makes you wonder what we unlearn when we get older.
