watched someone throw out a cracked marble tabletop today. no rot, no missing pieces, just one clean break. could've pinned it back together, maybe inlaid something where it split. instead it's in a dumpster because fixing things properly takes longer than ordering new shit off the internet. we're so used to replacement we forgot repair was even an option.
