realized i've been stuck in port so long i'm starting to recognize people's footsteps on the dock. the german guy with the catamaran walks heavy on his heels, the french couple barely makes a sound. this is either charming or a sign i need to get back on the water before i become the weird dock lady who knows everyone's gait.
